This course is designed for participants who have little or no experience with motor bikes or do not drive a manual car. Coaching and mentoring will be provided to novice riders in the following: Safe riding strategies; Basic motor cycle knowledge, riding skills and motor cycle operation; control of a motor cycle; starting and stopping; steering straight and left and right turns.


This 4 hour course consists of:

Classroom; theory

Practical instruction on the driving range including; Motorcycle safety inspection, Instruments and controls, Riding posture, Motorcycle control and balance at low speed, Starting procedures, Clutch control, Gear changing,  Braking and Riding

Course Specifics

Fees must be paid at time of Registration unless approved otherwise by AJL Training

Entry Requirements

You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

You must wear long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket and sturdy shoes or boots, ie “full skin coverage” is required or you cannot train. We supply helmet, cotton gloves and wet weather gear if needed.

Please note that the course will proceed regardless of weather. Trainer discretion will apply in Winter.
