Please note the following conditions apply: This course is for those that have a current ** Motorcycle Learner Licence issued prior to 28 February 2017 (NW and South) and 31 July 2017 (Nth only) and are not required to undertake the new Motor Cycle Training Program. ** It is your responsibility to ensure your licence is current before attending the course, if it will expire, you need to renew your licence with Service Tas and may also need to pass the motorcycle road rules knowledge test again.

Description

State Growth will advise all Learner Licence holders if they need to undertake their P Licence testing under the old or the new Training Program. Written correspondence will be sent to the address listed on the licence holder file.

Please contact Service Tasmania if you are unsure of your eligibility.

Should you require a renewal of  your current Learners Licence, participants need to present their invoice and receipt proof of payment to Service Tasmania to apply for the renewal. 

You may also be required to complete the Road Rules Knowledge Test again.

Course Specifics

 

If your licence will expire before your course date - it is your responsibility to renew with Service Tas. 

If you arrive at the course with an expired licence you will be turned away, and have to rebook and pay fees again.

 

 

Entry Requirements

If you do not adhere to these dates you may be turned away on the day of the course and will need to rebook – rescheduling fees will apply.

Prerequisites

1. You must hold a current learner motorcycle licence, which you have held continuously for at least 6 months, without a period of suspension.

2. Essential to check your earliest test date and expiry date on your Licence to confirm your eligibility.  

You must wear long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket and sturdy shoes or boots, “full skin coverage” is required or you cannot train. We supply helmet, cotton gloves and wet weather gear if needed.

Please note that the course will proceed regardless of weather. Trainer discretion will apply in Winter.

If you wish to use your own Motorcycle: you must bring proof of registration and 3rd Party Insurance on the day.

As lunch is not provided, we recommend that you bring your own lunch and a cool drink.
